About this opportunity from Family Action FOOD Club
Start Date
04/12/2025
End Date
04/12/2026
We are working in partnership with FareShare to bring Food On Our Doorstep (FOOD) clubs to local areas. FOOD clubs provide healthy food at low cost to people at risk of food insecurity. Club members save money, and by utilising surplus food, the service reduces levels of food waste across the country.
Our FOOD clubs rely on volunteers to keep running, so we can continue to improve life chances and benefit the wellbeing of local families.
Currently, clubs in Southend run at the following venues and times:
Centre Place: Friday 13:30-15:20,
Summercourt: Saturday 10:30-12:20
Friars: Monday 9:30-11.20
