Leigh Folk Festival Build and Break Team

This could be an ideal opportunity for your corporate team (or individual) to help support the preservation of our cultural heritage in Leigh on Sea, by helping set up our annual Leigh Folk Festival

About this opportunity from Leigh on Sea Folk Arts
Start Date

26/06/2026

End Date

26/01/2026

Many hands make light work! We have just one day to load in and set up for what will be a memorable weekend in the heart of our community. On Friday we expect to have contractors committed to setting up stage, power, toilets, recycling points etc, so it’s important that we have resources on hand to support and help progress the build, and the pack up at the end of the festival.

● Responsibilities – be available to provide an extra pair of hands to support lifting/carrying/positioning where needed, work within your means
● Key tasks – unloading/loading, position and erect gazebos, fencing, screening, signage, be adaptable, follow instructions, communicate requirements

As a volunteer, you’re not just helping with logistics – you’re directly supporting the preservation of our cultural heritage. Your involvement plays a vital role in creating a space where local artists, musicians, and performers can shine, while also providing a platform to celebrate the diversity of the folk traditions that have shaped our community.
