Herb Garden Volunteer
Do you have an interest in herbs and their medicinal purpose? Then come along and help us grow and harvest our accessible herb gardens to support our kitchens and our educational programmes on site.
About this opportunity from Wellbeing at Garons Park
Garon Park has a series of herb gardens which are used to support both the kitchens and also the education programmes that are run from site.
We are looking for a volunteer who would like to help us to keep the herb gardens growing and to harvest the produce as required.
One of the herb gardens is within the Nature school and is shaped like a person. The herbs are planted in the area of the body that they help, we also have a number of herb beds that are in raised beds with disabled access.
Wellbeing at Garon Park is a beautiful 32 acre site which has a wide range of volunteers who help us. However, we are looking for volunteers to join our team and to help us to open up the grounds and facilities to the wider community.
SKILLS
It would be really helpful if you have some gardening knowledge but if not our Conservation Officer Liam King is usually on site to provide help, advice and guidance on what needs doing.
