About this opportunity from SECAT

Academy Committee representatives meet four times per academic year and visit the school once per term to support Headteachers and staff in continuing to achieve outstanding outcomes. Academy Committees link into the Trust Board and their work is vital for the Trust Board to plan strategically for the development of the Trust.

Academy Committees hold a monitoring role in three key areas: Special Educational Needs (SEN), Curriculum and Community Relations and we are looking for someone willing to bring energy, enthusiasm and commitment to the role, and who will broaden the diversity of thinking on the Academy Committee. You do not need to have a background in any of these areas as full training and support can be offered.

You do not need to be a parent or carer of a child at any of the schools within our Trust. You may already be a member of an Academy Committee within the Trust or elsewhere and would be willing to support additional Academy Committees also.
