Join the Rare Breeds Centre Team!
Do you love animals, enjoy being outdoors, and want to make a real difference? We’re
looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help us care for our wonderful range of

- Keeping animal pens and enclosures clean and comfortable
- Creating fun and stimulating enrichment activities
- Helping with basic maintenance and foraging fresh greens for feed
- Socialising and training animals for handling and public shows
- Providing a warm welcome and great experience for our visitors
This is a physical, outdoor role—expect fresh air, muddy boots, and plenty of rewarding moments!
What You Bring:
- Confidence to work independently and take initiative
- Friendly communication and a patient, calm approach
- Good time management and problem-solving skills
- A team spirit and willingness to muck in (literally!)
- A shared commitment to The Salvation Army’s values of respect, empathy, and dignity
