Southend Pier Museum Foundation Trust are looking for volunteers to help meet and greet visitors at this historic attraction.
The role will require the volunteer to greet the public and groups visiting the Pier Museum.
This is a rewarding opportunity that will allow you to interact with the public, meet new people and to help promote the Pier Museum as a facility and to show visitors the Pier’s rich social and heritage history.
The pier museum is currently open on weekends and bank holidays and some weekdays for pre-booked visiting groups.
Training will be provided, where you will learn more about the heritage of Southend Pier.
As well as learning new skills, within this role, you will gain valuable experience.
The ability to interact with the public, to have a pleasant manner, suitable for interaction with visitors, and a sense of humour, is advantageous. Previous experience would be a bonus, however, full training will be provided.

Commitment

We operate two shifts per day 1030 hrs to 1400 hrs and 1400 hrs to 1730 hrs. You can select which day and shift best suit you, you will not be expected to be available for the same shift on the same day each week unless that is your preferred choice, we aim to be flexible.
