Charity Shop Volunteer Driver

Are you a driver who has a few hours to spare to help support our community, whilst learning different aspects of our charity's retail business.

Key Responsibilities
Work with the Head of Charity Shops and Charity Shops Manager to maintain an efficient stock rotation schedule.
Collect donations from homes, ensuring Gift Aid sign-ups, and deliver them to the appropriate shop.
Deliver and collect HARP donation sacks within the local community.
Represent HARP positively while out in the community and when driving a company vehicle.
Carry out regular van checks, maintain cleanliness, and report any issues promptly.
Assist in setting up and opening new charity shops.
Perform light maintenance tasks in shops, such as assembling furniture, general repairs, and occasional painting (preferred but not essential).
Encourage and support the public in donating high-quality stock.
Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed in line with HARP policies.
Work collaboratively with the Charity Shops Team and volunteers to provide excellent customer and donor experiences.
Occasionally travel for optional training sessions.
Foster a ‘can do’ culture by actively seeking solutions to challenges.
What We’re Looking For
Friendly and reliable individuals with good communication skills.
A willingness to work as part of a team and support HARP’s mission.
Ability to carry out light maintenance tasks (desirable but not essential).
A full UK driving license and confidence driving a van.
No experience needed—full training and induction provided!
