About this opportunity from Southend City Baptist Church (57 West)
We are looking for empathetic and kind individuals to work with vulnerable adults. Some are homeless, addicts, ex offenders, have mental health issues as well as those that have been exploited. Your role would be to facilitate a Cooking course and once trained you would be responsible for the smooth running of the session. You may go on to be able to mentor a member of the Community and empower them to become the best version of themselves.
The Cooking Course facilitators will facilitate one of our Cooking courses.
No experience is necessary but you must be over 18 and be willing to undergo a DBS (at our expense) and offer reference. Training will be provided
Cooking and Catering | Creativity | Practical Skills | Supporting people and befriending
Crime, Victims and Offenders | Health and Social Care | Homeless and Housing | Substance misuse and Addiction
Activities take place at various times of the week. We require DBS (done at our expense) but are happy for Volunteers to start without one as they will be monitored until DBS is received.
