About this opportunity from 1st Prittlewell (St. Mary's) Scouts
Our cub leader volunteer coordinates the work of our cub group. All resources and activity plans are provided but we welcome new ideas.
They also work closely with our group chair and the members of our group board of trustees, so If you like the idea of working in a small, flexible team to get things done to help our cub group be the best it can this is the role for you.
You don’t need any previous experience or to know anything about scouting – What’s more important is your own skills and experience as well as empathy with our mission and values. We provide an induction, lots of online reference and resources, a sociable network, a relevant level of easy to access learning to support you, as well as ongoing face to face support.
We know that life can be busy, so we’re all about flexibility: This is a very flexible role which you can fit around your family, work and social commitments and other than the odd pre-planned meeting you can fit things around you! You could also share this role with someone too!
Being part of scouting is great fun and it goes without saying that helping young people can be one of the most rewarding things you can do, plus it also looks great on your CV!

SKILLS
An enhanced DBS check will be required but we will cover the costs and administration of this if you do not have one already.
