Purpose of the Role:
To oversee and coordinate the care and wellbeing of a small group of travellers during a Jumbulance trip, ensuring safe, person centred support and contributing to a positive group experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and support pre trip care assessments for all travellers
• Lead and coordinate care provision during the trip for those supported by volunteer carers
• Administer or oversee medication management (within professional competency)
• Provide personal care and support as required
• Work collaboratively with volunteer carers, personal carers, and the Trip Leader
• Participate in safeguarding, risk awareness, and incident reporting
• Support travellers to take part in activities, meals, excursions, and social time
• Contribute to creating a warm, inclusive, enjoyable atmosphere for everyone
Pick up locations vary depending on location of assisted travellers and volunteers. Our drivers will endeavour to plan a route that keeps travel times down and we have the option of feeder transport.
We welcome volunteers with professional care experience, including:
• Registered Nurses
• Paramedics or other clinicians
• Senior carers with experience leading care teams

• Confident supporting medication and personal care
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt to varied environments and group travel
• Commitment to dignity, respect, and safeguarding
