CityFamily is the friendly, local community for families in Southend to meet each other for support; have free access to help from experienced teams on having and raising a child; and learn to make the most of all that Southend has to offer.

We are looking for volunteers that can support the CityFamily workers at our group sessions such as Messy Play and Cuppa and Chat drop-ins. Volunteers will be expected to assist in setting up/clearing away, making refreshments and generally engaging with the families that access the sessions.

These are rewarding roles to build resilience within the community and help families access what Southend has to offer. Volunteers will be provided with full-training, ongoing support and development, as well as out-of-pocket expenses. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to learn new skills within Early Years, help to build confidence and utilise their own knowledge and experiences to support others.

No skills or experience required, but an interest in supporting families and engaging with young children is essential!
