Volunteer Gardener

Do you like being active outdoors? Expand your knowledge of growing flowers, fruit and vegetables whilst helping to maintain our community garden.

About this opportunity from Peaceful Place

We are looking for reliable and trustworthy volunteers to help maintain our allotment in Manners Way, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The allotment is part of a project created for the families and caregivers of individuals living with dementia aiming to provide a community of support, guidance and resources.

The duties of this role include: mowing, trimming and weeding, clearing various parts of the allotment, planting flowers, fruits and vegetables, maintaining garden beds, painting and DIY and jet washing furniture and pathways.

We are hoping to build a team of volunteers to help year round at the allotment and improve the space for family carers of those living with dementia. If you enjoy gardening, love being outdoors and are looking to be part of a friendly team, please contact us.
