About the Role:
As a Volunteer IT Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting volunteers, staff, and residents by helping them develop basic IT skills. Your guidance will empower them to use technology confidently for communication, accessing services, and everyday tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist volunteers, staff, and residents with basic IT tasks, such as using email, Microsoft Office, internet browsing, and online applications.
Provide one-to-one and group training sessions on common IT-related issues.
Help individuals set up and use devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
Support users in maintaining online security and safe internet practices.
Troubleshoot minor technical issues and guide users in finding solutions.
Offer patience and encouragement to build users’ confidence with technology.
