To support our receptionist lead and office staff with the daily front of house duties at our busy Westcliff Garden.

Our Westcliff reception is one of the busiest places in our charity. No day is the same. From our members signing in for their session and paying for their lunches, to new members coming in to be shown around the garden, to answering calls and helping our volunteers in the kitchen at lunch times, this is a very varied and fun role.
This role would suit somebody who loves being around and supporting people and who is confident to be the first point of contact for any enquiry. It is a varied role with mostly communication and practical tasks as well as some small administrative tasks.
Knowledge, training or lived experience around people living with ill mental health, is desirable.
The Volunteer will be required to:
Complete a DBS check and Volunteer Induction
Online learning before role starts

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
· Welcome each member and visitor on arrival, ask them to sign in
· Take payment for lunches and manage the list, deliver list to volunteer cooks in time.
· Assist volunteer cooks at lunch time to plate the food out
· Take new members around the garden for their initial show around
· Offer refreshments to external visitors arriving for meetings
· Take phone calls in absence of Receptionist Lead, make clear notes to pass on to them
· Replacing out of stock items like tissues, rolls and cleaning products.
· Helping with general tidiness around the office
· Replenish leaflets, posters and sign in sheets
· Maintain confidentiality to the highest degree
· Raise any issues affecting members with appropriate staff member
· Shredding
