Volunteer Trustee – Early Years Educational Specialist (EYFS/KS1)
We are looking for an experienced EYFS/KS1 teacher, early years practitioner, early childhood education consultant or academic researcher to lead the charity's independent educational oversight.
About this opportunity from Nestling Learning Charity
Nestling Learning Charity is a new UK Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO in formation – we are applying to the Charity Commission and are not yet registered). Our aim is to remove financial barriers to early childhood education by giving families, nurseries and communities across the UK completely free EYFS and KS1 learning tools, games and printable resources, with a particular focus on underserved communities. We are now appointing our founding independent Board of Trustees.
The role

– Review the educational quality, safety and curriculum alignment of our free digital games and printable resources
– Help shape how we measure our impact on children’s early learning
– Make sure all content follows child-safety and privacy-by-design principles
– Take part in board decisions as a founding trustee
Time and terms
– Voluntary and unpaid, about 4 to 8 hours a month
– Fully remote, with no travel needed, and any reasonable out-of-pocket costs reimbursed
– Meetings by video call on weekday evenings or weekends
– Initial 3-year term
– No direct work with children
– Appointment subject to a Charity Commission trustee eligibility declaration
We warmly welcome applicants from all backgrounds, especially people from groups under-represented on charity boards.
