Come and support our Walking Group members to enjoy being outdoors and in healing nature in Priory Park. Enjoy a monthly trip further afield, driving our members so they can enjoy a change of scenery.

- To help facilitate weekly Trust Links Walking Group on Mondays while supporting and empowering our members to enjoy being outside and in nature.
- To support the members whilst out walking at Priory Park
- We need two volunteers for this role, with one volunteer willing to drive our minibus once a month for trips to other locations.
The Volunteer will be required to:
- Undergo the volunteer recruitment process a DBS check, volunteer induction and mandatory training
- Provide direction and support for members
- Support the delivery of activities, especially with practical tasks, setting up / packing down if driving the van.
- Report issues, concerns and successes to project staff – immediately.
- Work with the team to improve outcomes and wellbeing for project members and the broader community.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
- To support members who attend the walking group
- Suggest ideas for places to visit monthly
- Take part in appropriate training and development activities
- Notify staff if unable to attend regular session
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are adhered to in line with Trust Links Health and Safety policy
- Ensure Safeguarding requirements are met in line with Trust Links Safeguarding policy and escalate concerns about the wellbeing of service users to appropriate staff members
- Maintain confidentiality
- Raise any issues affecting members with appropriate staff member
- Feedback to staff relevant information relating to members’ progress and independence

One volunteer will also need
- Be able to drive the Trust Links mini bus (most license holders can drive this small minibus)

Commitment
Location: Westcliff and once a month a walk further afield that might need to be driven to. We have our own charity minibus that we would need one of our volunteers to drive on these outings.
