About the Youth Team role
Youth Team Volunteers work with young people from a wide breadth of backgrounds, ensuring they really feel part of the St John family. Volunteers will help young people develop their confidence, teamwork skills, self-discipline, and generally encourage them to strive to be the best they can be.
You’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.

• Experience of working with young people (aged 5 -18) or as part of a youth organisation. (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and personal motivation to work as part of a team and an infectious sense of enthusiasm and commitment.
• Passion for seeing young people succeed and a willingness to engage and support young people to learn life skills within St John.
• Able to communicate effectively with young people.
• Willing to partake in the training to support the variety of activities involved in delivering a St John youth programme.
