The Treasurer plays a key role in all aspects of running a charity, including securing funding, Managing finances, maintaining compliance, and delivering effective services. The Treasurer might even step in and do other ad hoc tasks when necessary. The Treasurer is possible the most important member of any charity board. As such, this is probably the most varied and involved role within a charitable board. It is often one of the roles with the most responsibility. Since the treasurer controls the financial responsibilities of the Charity. This role is voluntary. Southend Street Pastors is a Christian organisation and it is important but not essential that all of our members belong to a local church and will need to go through a DBS check.
