Join us for the popular Chelmsford Marathon as a Havens Volunteer

What’s involved?

– Baggage – Manage the drop-off and collection area for participants’ belongings.

– Route marshal – providing encouragement and ensuring the safety of participants along the route

– Water station marshal – keeping runners hydrated by managing water stations

– Finish Line – Handing out medals and water to participants as they cross the finish line.

Please be aware that some roles may involve lifting and moving heavy objects.

Time commitment:

Approximately 8 hours depending on role (time TBC)

What do you get?

– All our volunteers will be given the equipment they need to help deliver race day.

– Pre-race instructions will be emailed out in advance and you’ll get a volunteer briefing before the race so you know exactly what to expect from your day.

– It’s also a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, be part of your local community, build up your confidence and have some fun!

SKILLS

No experience needed. Please be aware that the role may include lifting, and moving heavy objects.
