Our Event Chaperone volunteers get out and about to events and activities in Southend, helping our families become more confident to do this themselves. So volunteer and enjoy a day out!

About this opportunity from Home-Start Essex

You will accompany families to events and activities in and around Southend. You will be on hand to give practical support and help families build their confidence when they are out and about, so that you can enjoy these together, and families will feel more confident attending these independently in the future. This is a flexible volunteering role that can be combined with our other volunteering roles.

Event Chaperone Volunteers are expected to:
• Undertake initial training online to help prepare you for the role
• Travel to events and activities in and around Southend

Arts, Heritage and Entertainment | Children | Civic responsibility and communities | Families and Parenting


2-3 hours (or longer) on occasional days.
