About this opportunity from CityFamily

Are you creative and enjoy getting messy? Are you looking for experience in the Early Years? The CityFamily team have an exciting opportunity to be part of Messy Mondays in Southend. This session encourages families with under 4s to come along, engage with others and get MESSY! Messy and sensory play is extremely important for a child’s development. It provides children with an exciting tactile and sensory experience that inspires their curiosity, allows them to explore the world around them and enhances their learning, language and creativity. Children learn through experimentation and discovery and messy play encourages children to explore new textures and manipulate different materials through touch. Not only does messy play enhance a child’s cognitive development and learning, but it also improves a child’s physical development as well!

As a volunteer you can just get involved with the play, engage with the parents/carers or be part of the planning process. Some tidy up will be expected though!

If you are interested, this will be weekly and a commitment of 1.5-2 hours will be expected.
