Carers First is looking for carers/volunteers who can commit time to become a Peer Support Group volunteer to help run our monthly Men’s Meet-up.
These groups aim to reduce the social isolation experienced by male carers; provide opportunities to spend time with other male carers, share experiences, build positive peer networks, provide respite from their role, and overall improve their wellbeing.
Duties:
- Be involved with Carers First to promote the groups available to Carers.
- Support the male carers attending the peer group in a professional and inclusive manner.
- Communicate and listen in a non-judgemental and positive way.
- Ensure you keep confidentiality where appropriate with conversations.
- Support in planning and organising group session
- Skills

- Experience in facilitating a group is desirable but not essential.
