About this opportunity from Home-Start Essex

Do you enjoy using Southend’s parks, open spaces and leisure facilities? Could you motivate and encourage families with young children to use these, to help improve their mental and physical health? You will help families research, plan and prepare visits to local spaces and places and accompany them on visits to these. This is a flexible volunteering role that can be combined with our other volunteering roles.

Place Makers are expected to:
• Undertake initial training online to help prepare you for the role
• Travel to local facilities such as libraries, parks, beaches, in and around Southend

Commitment

No special qualifications are necessary to become a Home-Start Essex volunteer, our volunteers bring their own life experiences. All volunteers are fully trained to support families in various roles.
