Southend Pier Museum has 7,500+ artifacts, ranging from postcards to train carriages. The Digitisation project sets out to photograph and store digitally all items recorded within the Southend Pier Museum’s archive/artefact register.
By joining the team at Southend Pier Museum, you will photograph the exhibits, recording progress and checking accuracy of the completed records for the digitisation project.
Main activities include:
• Work with the digitisation project planners to schedule photography activities
• Photograph each exhibit.
• Record photographs taken against exhibit details (catalogue number etc.).

About you:
We are looking for people who:
• Have an interest and/or experience in photography activities.
• Are friendly and approachable.
• Have an enthusiasm for working with people of a variety of ages and backgrounds.
• Are willing to undertake training related to the role.
