Help children fall in love with reading this summer. If you enjoy reading, come and share your enthusiasm and the pleasure books can bring, with young children on the Summer Reading Challenge.

About this opportunity from Southend Libraries

This summer, volunteer with Southend Libraries as part of the Summer Reading Challenge in any of our 6 library branches across the city. Volunteers are asked to complete at least 10 days between 24th July and 30th August from 9.45am to 3.15pm. Of course you can do more if you wish.
Volunteers will assist us in keeping children’s interest in reading over the school holidays. This scheme offers the opportunity for volunteers to increase their personal communication skills and boost confidence! We could not run the Summer Reading Challenge without our amazing volunteers.

SKILLS

No qualifications necessary just bring your fantastic personality. Of course, you do need to like children!
