Skills
We seek a volunteer who will need the following skills:
-be honest & trustworthy-a reference would be required
-have a knowledge of budgets and finance
-be able to compile accounts and present to our accountants in Rochford, at the end of the financial year
-bank reconciliations
-a qualification in finance would be desirable but we would consider someone who has sufficient skills to achieve what is required.
-a knowledge of IT would be desirable but not essential

Commitment
The friendly day centre is open from 11am until approx 2pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Fridays. -You would be expected to liaise with the day centre manager & collect takings once a week & bank them. -expected to join the Old Peoples Welfare Committee (OPWC) which usually meets on a Thursday afternoon at 2.30pm, once a month where you would present a run down of our monthly takings. -present the total years takings & bank reconciliations to the committee's AGM, which is usually held in October of that year. Take all the paperwork to the accountants in Rochford after the meeting.
