Overview
Southend District Pensioners Campaign are seeking an enthusiastic volunteer to join its Committee as a Treasurer, helping oversee the group’s finances and support its growth and activities. SDPC is a self-funding voluntary campaigning organisation affiliated to The National Pensioners Convention.

Role summary of main responsibilities

Manage money and oversee the campaign finances.
Prepare financial reports.
Monitor bank accounts and reconcile bank statements.
Join the groups managing committee in order to share information.

What you gain

Experience of basic book keeping.
Administrative, communication and organisational skills.

Personal Qualities

Trustworthy, enhanced DBS required.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Commitment

The volunteer Treasurer is expected to spend around 2-4 hours a month maintaining the accounts, by keeping track of cash and bank accounts with a ledger. Attending committee meetings (members meetings are optional)
