Basildon Tea Party Host

Can you spare some time to help run tea parties for our group? Ideal for someone who enjoys hosting and wants to help older people remain social and engaged

About this opportunity from Re-engage (Formerly Contact The Elderly)

Do you love a good chat over a cuppa? Then you\’d make a wonderful Tea Party Host!

Our monthly tea parties are a lifeline for people aged 75 and over who feel cut off from their community. An afternoon of tea, cake and conversation can make the world of difference – and that\’s where you come in.

As a volunteer host, you\’ll open your home (or a local community space) once or twice a year on a Sunday afternoon to welcome a group of local people – usually between 4-9, including our guests, volunteer drivers and a group coordinator.

If you can offer a warm smile, a welcoming space and the ability to put the kettle on, we\’d love to hear from you.
