About this opportunity from Friends and Places Together

As a charity we regularly support young people with additional needs to attend the local Southend United football matches at Roots Hall stadium. Our guys love watching the football, and we need volunteers who are enthusiastic about football and love the atmosphere of being at a game while also being responsible to support people with additional needs in the community.
You will provide support for our clients by helping them with their tickets to enter the ground, showing them to their correct seats, assisting them with any drinks to food they wish to purchase at the ground. You will also support them with leaving the ground as it can be very busy and making sure everyone is safe and comfortable for the duration of the support time.

As a volunteer you will gain valuable experience of working with young people and those with additional needs. If you want to get into the area of Health and Social Care this could act as a great springboard into the workforce and would show you have ample experience. Although never guaranteed, we aspire to offer as much paid work to our volunteers after being with us for a committed period of time. We also cover any expenses incurred.

We need young people who are enthusiastic and willing to help others for a great cause. We need those who can bring excitement and creativity to the role or simply have a passion for health and social care work.
As we grow as an organisation we need as many people as possible to help vulnerable people in the community.
