The trainees who come to Hadleigh Training Centre have a range of additional support needs and a variety of outcomes. This is a rewarding role making a positive difference to peoples lives.

Our Learning Support Volunteers support our trainees, sometimes in small groups to meet their outcomes which may include self-esteem, communication, motivation and general social interaction whilst training in a specific vocational area.

· We provide a variety of training activities including garden maintenance and plant care, cooking and domestic skills, upcycling and bike refurbishment. All volunteers support trainees to participate in all training activities.

 

You do not need skills in any of our training departments.

We are looking for volunteers who have good communication and interpersonal skills to encourage and motivate trainees to meet their outcomes.

Commitment

The Training Centre day is 9.30am – 3.30pm. We are flexible and can also offer an every other week commitment
