Retail Opportunity

We are looking for a friendly and outgoing person to support our Tilbury shop. You could be part of a lovely team who have cultivated a real community hub within the shop.

About this opportunity from Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust

We are looking for a bright and bubbly volunteer to support our shop staff at our charity shop in Tilbury. You will be part of a lovely team who have cultivated a community hub within the shop, and so many of the locals visit the shop on a daily basis, promoting a sense of connection.

As a charity shop, we rely on donations as stock, and so part of your role will include handling and sorting donations as well as replenishing stock on the shop floor. Due to the high volume of regular customers, turnover of new stock is of utmost importance and helps the customer feel there is always something new to find.

You will be assisting the shop Manager and Assistant Manager with day to day tasks, such as maintaining a clean and tidy shop floor, making customers feel welcome and comfortable, dressing the window to make it look engaging and inviting, and assisting with donations.

We believe that this role is great for someone who loves being around other people as the shop has such a social feel to it – you will build meaningful connections with shop staff and customers, and become part of this thriving community hub. If you are looking to expand your skill set on your CV, retail training can be offered.

Access to transport is essential for this role. The shop is close to transport links such as the train station and bus. There is parking for those who drive.
