Mental Health First Aiders! A local charity is looking for volunteers to support vulnerable members of the community access services available across Southend that could help them get back on track.

Are you passionate about supporting vulnerable people within your local community and have knowledge of the services Southend has to offer?
The One Love Project, is a registered charity in the heart of Southend, with a focus to assist and support vulnerable adults and families, including those experiencing homelessness, in and around the city. We provide food and clothing as well as mental and emotional support via a trauma informed and humanitarian approach. We also support families within our local community with food banks, low cost clothing, emergency food parcels and mental and wellbeing support.
We are looking for volunteers, who are fully Mental Health First Aid trained (minimum two day course) to join our Guest Relations team at The One Love Project.
Our guest relation team offer a higher level of support to those attending our services and support in areas such as mental health support and advice, housing advice and signposting to local services who can support further.
We operate two services a week, whereby we offer complete wraparound support from local services including HARP, Nurse Practitioner, Mental Health Support, STARS, Aspirations and many more and we are committed to continue providing such vital support to those experiencing homelessness.
