We are seeking trustees who can help steer the charity into its next phase. We are a local based charity – 10 years established -that is seeking to expand into other areas of needs and are unique in that we provide friendships and relationships for people with additional needs and vulnerable young people in our community. We offer support to young people from 15 years old to 25 years and have recently set up a new service for isolated adults from 25 years to 40 years old.
We have our office and venue at Victoria Shopping Centre in Southend.
We are keen to hear from parents who support their children with additional needs to join as a trustee as well as seeking people who expertise in fundraising, finance and HR. We are also keen to support people who have lived experience and are neurodiverse to be part of our much valued work in Southend.
We have 4 established trustees and we meet once every 6 weeks to 2 months for zoom or teams call for an hour and we normally meet on a Monday or Wednesday from 5pm to 6pm.
We also hold once a year meetings in person with our community.

Skills

No qualifications needed.

Desirable skills:
Knowledge or lived experience supporting those with additional needs.
Knowledge of working in the Charity Sector.
Knowledge of Finance, HR or fundraising.
