About the Role
We’re looking for friendly, organised, and community-minded individuals to join our team as Volunteer Admin Support. You’ll support the smooth running of two well-loved community venues in Rochford that host everything from birthday parties and baby groups to food drop-ins, makers markets, and local events.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain practical experience in admin and venue management, meet new people, and contribute to spaces that make a real difference in the community.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to venue booking enquiries and help schedule community use
· Support general admin duties including responding to emails, filing, and record-keeping
· Be a welcoming first point of contact for local residents, groups, and visitors
· Assist in using simple booking systems and internal processes
· Option to support live events, helping behind the scenes at markets, shows, and community celebrations

Additional Information
· Full training and ongoing support will be provided
· This role is based in Rochford, and we can be flexible around your availability
· Volunteers must be aged 18+
SKILLS
Good communication
· Able to speak and write clearly
· Comfortable chatting with people in person, on the phone, or via email
Organisational skills
· Can keep simple tasks and information in order
· Happy to follow checklists or routines
Basic digital confidence
· Comfortable using email, typing, or navigating simple online systems (we can show you how)
· Familiar with using a phone, tablet, or computer — no advanced IT knowledge needed
Attention to detail
· Can spot small errors or double-check info like dates, times, or names
Reliability
· Shows up when expected and communicates if plans change
· Can be trusted to handle simple tasks independently after training
Team spirit
· Likes working with others in a friendly, respectful way
· Willing to pitch in when needed
Willingness to learn
· Open to feedback and trying new things
· Curious and keen to build confidence or skills
