If you have a few hours to spare each month, and happy to work from home, a local charity is looking for a volunteer bookkeeper to keep on top of their accounts and finances.
About this opportunity from The Art Ministry
The Voluntary Bookkeeper will ensure that a proper account is kept of receipts and payments so that financial reporting can be categorised correctly and produced on time.
The Bookkeeper works under the guidance of the Trustee Treasurer to:
-Recording the income from fund-raising, grants and donations, and any restrictions attached.
-Recording and categorising the expenditure.
-Calculating salaries, vetting bills and expenses, and submitting the outputs for Trustee approval.
-Monitoring the bank accounts and ensuring all transactions are recorded in our accounts.
-Assisting with budgeting and financial planning.
-A numerate person.
-Capable of working with spreadsheets.
-Good at writing reports.
-Confident using the internet.
-Good interpersonal skills.
-Team working skills.

Commitment
The time commitment averages about 4 hours per month. The role can be done from home but monthly, year end and regulatory reporting deadlines must be met.
